    托福写作字数是否会影响写作成绩

    时间:2020-10-10 来源:博通范文网 本文已影响 博通范文网手机站

    托福写作技巧之一就是控制写作的字数,那么托福写作的字数应该如何掌控呢?写作字数是否会影响写作成绩?下面小编就和大家分享托福写作字数是否会影响写作成绩,希望能够帮助到大家,来欣赏一下吧。

    托福写作字数是否会影响写作成绩?

    一.托福写作技巧分析之写作字数对分数的影响

    字数在一定程度上决定着成绩。但并不是说字数与你的成绩是一个线性的正相关关系。省去一些论证过程,我们需要记住以下两点:

    1、字数多成绩好的同学,可能是托福写作游戏的幸存者。(他们本来基础就好,超过一定字数后的分数加成并不多),因此不需要执迷于字数;

    2、字数太少不行。(细节展开不充分,语言信息量太少)所以字数与高分之间应当存在一个匹配的范围,而不是“字数越多,成绩越高”。超过这个范围的字数本身不会减低你的分数,但是逐渐增加的语法错误、拼写错误都成了扣分点。

    二.托福写作技技巧分析之写作字数推荐

    字数与成绩之间存在一个调节阀:信息量。当我们阅读一些出自nativespeaker的英语文章时,会发现他们能够用最精炼的语言表达出许多信息量。打个比方,他们用1句话就能表达出6个信息点;而我们或许1句话撑死也只能表达3个信息点。那我们就需要比他们多花一倍的笔墨去说同样信息容量的故事。如果你的语言能力够好,那么就会削弱字数的影响。但遗憾的是,我们大多数人并不具备这样的能力,因此字数仍旧是一个不可忽视的部分。

    合理字数范围:综合250±20;独立450左右。

    三.托福写作技技巧分析之综合写作字数分析

    先看综合,综合写作中是不需要表达考生自己的观点和想法的,需要的是:

    阅读的信息、听力的信息、阅读与听力的关联。

    考生只是一个转述者。其中主次一定是听力高于阅读。原因:综合的阅读会重现,在你敲写作的时候会重现,作为一场语言考试,你对着屏幕搬运体现了任何语言能力了吗?没有!而听力却是一遍过,它考察了你的语言能力和重要信息收集的能力。所以相比于听力,阅读的信息绝对不会是重点。这也是我们主张:阅读归纳总结,听力力争还原的原因。总结来看,综合写作是转述别人的观点,从这一点上来说,综合的判分是按点给分,只要语法和布局没有大问题,你的信息点踩到多少就给你多少的分,管你多少字(但是请不要放飞自我)?

    四.托福写作技技巧分析之独立写作字数分析

    再看独立,对于大多数的考生来说,字数越多,语法错误、拼写错误也会越多。虽然ETS对于语法和拼写有一定的容错,但是不要把宽容当纵容啊,各位。对于大多数主动或被动受训过的考生来说,主体段三段每一段130词+基本能够算是展开充分了(如一开始所说的,字数不是唯一的判断标准,还要看你的内容和信息量),加上开头段和结尾段,才有了450±20词这样的说法。同时,如果我们对自己的实力没有一个准确认知的话,多打字其实也是一种消耗。

    1. If you could create a new holiday, what person or event would it honorand

how would you want people to celebrate it?

Holidays honor people or events. If you could create a new holiday, whatperson or event would it honor and how would you want people to celebrate it?Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

    参见:[79]

    『范文』

Holidays are an excellent way to allow societies to honor people or eventsthat have helped their country or the world. There are many things that deserveto be recognized in our culture, but there is one group of people that isunderappreciated in society today: inventors. If I were to create a new holiday,it would be to pay respect to these important people and their creations.Inventors are members of the most unappreciated profession in society today.Without inventors, all civilizations would still be living in the stone age, with no running water, no electricity, and more generally, no comforts. Manyinventors create simple objects that do not seem that amazing, but upon closerinspection, one realizes that all inventions contribute greatly to convenience. All societies should pay homage to these great people by honoring them with aholiday.

The first way we could honor inventors is by opening exhibitions ingalleries and museums dedicated to the inventions of current and past inventors. Many people have no idea where the greatest inventions came from. By displayingthe life work of inventors, people will gain a new appreciation for them. Thiswould also be a learning experience for the public, as they could see whatcurrent inventors are working on, and get excited about the upcoming progressesin society.

We could also honor inventors by having a school day dedicated toinventions. It is important to encourage school-aged children to use theirimagination to come up with inventions of their own. The school system isexcellent in China, but it does not promote free thinking. Children need to begiven the opportunity to discover new creations on their own. By having a daydedicated to this, young people would become more interested in themanufacturing of new products and ideas.

So, I believe that inventors deserve their own holiday. They have providedsociety with so much comfort and convenience. By honoring inventors, we willshow them how much we appreciate their efforts, as well as encourage ourchildren to come up with new ideas of their own.

    2. The advice you would give your friend on how to use his or her money Afriend of yours has received some money and plans to use all of it either to goon vacation to buy a car Your friend has asked you for advice. Compare yourfriend's two choices and explain which one you think your friend should choose.Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.

    『分析』

    选择买车可能更好写一些,因为[36]、[70]、[106]都写过关于automobile的话题;并且,有了汽车,将来旅行就更方便了。

    『范文』

Receiving money is always an unexpected delight. Making the decision of howto spend this money is always a difficult choice. What it comes down to,however, is the individual's personal preferences, lifestyle, and priorities. Ifone of my friends has to choose between buying a car and going on vacation, Iwould carefully consider their lifestyle and advise them based on their wantsand needs. Living in a city can be a very high-paced, stressful way to live.Having a car would bring many conveniences that would make the experience muchmore enjoyable. First and foremost, a car can get you around the city veryquickly and directly. This would be an important factor if my friend goes toschool or works far away from home.

Second, a car offers privacy. If my friend does not enjoy public places, then a car would be an excellent option. Cars also have their disadvantages. Acar has many additional costs beyond the initial expense of buying one. One mustpay for insurance, gasoline, and any incidental fees such as repairs. If myfriend does not have a lot of extra money besides his/her inheritance, a car maynot be the best option. A vacation is also an excellent decision. If my friendworks at a high-stress job, then a vacation is sometimes the only way to relaxand forget about one's worries in the work world. Vacations to faraway lands cangive a person more perspective on the world, and can also provide excellentmemories. However, vacations always have to end, and one must return to his/hereveryday life.

Therefore, I think that if my friend lives far away from his/her work orschool and has a little bit of extra money, then a car would be the best option. However, if he/she lives near his/her work and holds a high-stress position, Iwould suggest that a vacation would be a better option. As mentioned above, howwe spend our money is a very personal decision, based on one's own priorities. In the end, only my friend can decide what is best for him/her.

    1. What changes the 21st century will bring?

The 21st century has begun. What changes do you think this new century willbring? Use examples and details in your answer.

    参见:[159]

    『范文』

Technology is being developed at an unprecedented speed. The 21st centuryis bound to be very different from the previous one, as we can expect that thespeed at which new technologies are invented and expanded upon will continue toincrease. I believe that the major changes that we will see in this century willbe found in environmental issues, health issues and knowledge access. Thesituation of the environment in today's society is precarious at best. The worldis continuing to build new and more wasteful production plants, filling theatmosphere with poisonous gases. There are many environmental scientists workingto create new ways of cleaning our air. I believe that these technologies willapex in the 21st century, thus solving the world's pollution problem. Inaddition to this, I also believe that we will come up with new, less dangerousmethods of producing the goods we have come to depend on. Many new diseases havebeen discovered in the last fifty years. AIDS and SARS are excellent examples ofthis terrible fact, and alone, these two viruses have killed a large number ofpeople.

Cancer and heart disease have also become much more widespread in the lasthundred years, shortening the lifespan of millions of people. Doctors areworking all over the world in hopes of eradicating these diseases. Every daythey come one step closer to finding cures to all of the above-mentionedailments, and many others.

Moreover, our ability to access knowledge will become much more advanced inthis century. More and more countries are getting "plugged in" to the Internet, and are adding their information to the vast collection of knowledge alreadyfound on this medium. The sharing of knowledge will also help to increaseliteracy around the world. People will be more interested in having this skillif it means they can have better, more efficient means of communicating.

In conclusion, I am very optimistic about the changes that will come duringthis century. Environmental issues will cease to be a problem, people will beable to live longer, richer lives with the eradication of diseases, and morepeople will be able to share knowledge due to the advancement of the Internet.Everyone has good reason to be excited in this fast-paced, evolving time.

    2. What makes a good parent?

What are some of the qualities of a good parent? Use specific details andexamples to explain your answer.

    参见:[15]

    『范文』

Being a parent is the oldest job in existence. Even in the time of thecavemen, it was important to be a good parent. What it means to be a good parenthas evolved greatly over the years. In today's society, however, I believe thatthere are three important characteristics that indicate whether a person is agood parent or not.

The first of these traits is the capacity for love. Children must feelloved by their parents if they are going to grow into well-developed, stableadults. Children who grow up in a house filled with love are relaxed andpeaceful, and do not cause trouble. These children demonstrate good socialskills, and are usually well-liked by others. In contrast, it has been shownthat children who grow up in unloving families are anxious andmean-spirited.

Trust is also very important for a child's development. If a parent isalways prying into a child's privacy, the child will think he/she is doingsomething wrong to deserve such mistrust. This leads to the child hiding thingsfrom the parent, which therefore leads to dishonesty. Also, trust leads toindependence. When children are trusted, they feel more pressure to keep thattrust, and therefore act honestly. They will make wise decisions, which willallow them to grow into independent adults.

It is also of utmost importance for a parent to have a well-developed senseof responsibility. A parent must be able to be present for the child twenty-fourhours a day, seven days a week. The parent must organize everything for a child, especially one under the age of ten. This requires careful planning andmulti-tasking. If a person is ready to become a parent, they must be ready forall of these added responsibilities.

In conclusion, a good parent has a large capacity for love, is trusting, and must be very responsible. Without these key attributes, the child willsuffer and grow into a dysfunctional adult. One must take the job of parentingvery seriously to ensure the child's healthy development. By harnessing theabove-mentioned qualities, parents will ensure that their child will be the bestthey can be.
