    英语学习:初一学生应首先掌握音标

    第一、有助于学生正确把握单词的读音。

    中国的孩子在学汉语时,是通过学习拼音来认识汉字的;初学英语时,他们也希望通过拼读来读出单词。在没掌握音标的情况下,我们经常看到大部分同学用汉字给英语单词标音。例如:morning(毛宁);lunch(懒吃),这样做是很难读准单词的。

    第二、有助于学生的终身学习。

    学生在掌握音标以后,完全可以自己认读单词。这样既有利于学生学习兴趣的培养和自信心的增强,又有助于学生自学能力的提高,从而减轻认读单词的负担,为学生的终身学习奠定基础。

    第三、有利于解决对单词读音的遗忘问题。

    对单词读音的遗忘是初学英语者常常遇到的一个难题。学生在认识音标的情况下,可以看着音标自己再次拼读,记起单词,从而能够有效地减少遗忘。

    第四、有利于记忆单词。

    我们知道记单词不是简单的死记硬背。字母、音标和单词之间是“三位一体”的关系。结合字母根据读音记单词是的方法之一,例如:desk除了字母e的发音为音标[e]外,其余字母都是读字母音,这样就便于掌握这个单词。seat的字母组合ea发音为[i:],根据这一规律就很容易记住它。
